Q:  What actually counts as a paid page view?

A: You are given credit for 1 paid page view when any logged in member visits:

1. your profile page
2. your blog pages
3. your comments page
4. your photos page
5. your friends page
6. your WallSt.net news pages
7. your WallSt.net quote pages
8. your Wallst.net content

       
when YOU visit:

1. any of your control panel pages
2. WallSt.net news pages
3. WallSt.net interviews page
4. WallSt.net podcasts
5. WallSt.net and WallSt.net subdomain homepages
6. Any profile on MyWallSt.net
7. Members’ photo pages

 

The following does NOT count as a page view:

1. Refreshing or reloading a page
2. Any page views over 40 in 60 minutes
3. Any page that’s viewed within 60 seconds of the last page
4. Page views over 160 per-user in a single-calendar day
5. Any view from a ‘guest’ or a non-logged in user

 
Q:  How do I know how many paid page views I’m getting?

A:  There are statistics in your control panel. Your list of paid page views can be found under the Monthly Page Views.

You: is how many times your pages (profiles, pictures, movies, etc) have been viewed, plus the number of personal page views you have accumulated in your control panel

Referral Views: is how many paid page views your referrals have accumulated.

These numbers are designed to give you a rough idea of how much activity your referral tree has. A full, monthly report to show you how many page views were accumulated on each level is generated at the end of every month.

Q: How can I get more page views?

A: The best way to get more page views is to add more content to your profile, leave comments for friends, upload more pictures, and constantly update your blog. All of this activity should result in more people viewing more pages on your profile. The more active you are, the more page views you get.

Q: What doesn’t count as a page view?

A: Any page that doesn’t have content submitted by you, and that isn’t in your control panel area does not count as a page view for you; if you refresh, or reload a page

Q: My page views have gone down. How did that happen?

A: Your page views can go down if:

1. someone below you deletes their account, all of their page views will also be deleted
2. if someone below you was caught cheating, we reset their page views to 0. This would affect your total page views.

Remember, the numbers shown in your control panel are NOT official. They are for informational purposes only.

Q: My page views aren’t tracking correctly. What can I do?

A: Your stats are not instant. They are updated every few hours, so new page views will not register in real-time. If you think there is a bigger problem with your page views

Q: How do I get paid?

A: We send you a check. There is a $1 processing fee to cover postage and other overhead costs.

Q: Why can’t I see my earnings for the current month?

A: We can’t show you your earnings for the current month until all of the earnings and page views are calculated. This occurs at the end of every month. Your monthly earnings report should be generated by the second week of the following month.

Q: When will I get paid?

A: Our minimum payment is $25, so if your earnings are less than that, they will be rolled into the following month’s earnings. Once your earnings are above $25, you will receive a check.

All payments are sent out net 30, which means that your earnings for July will be paid out by September 1.

Q: Do I have to pay taxes on my earnings?

A: We do not withhold any taxes from your earnings. However, we do report your earnings to the government. How much tax, if any, you will owe depends on a lot of variables. Consult your accountant or other tax professional to find out what is required of you.

Q: Do I have to fill out an IRS form W9?

A: If you are a US citizen, then you will have to fill out a W9 in order to get paid. This doesn’t necessarily means you will have to pay taxes, but we need this information to you so we can report our payments to the IRS.

Q: I invited a lot of people, but most of them didn’t receive the invite. Is there anything else I can do?

A: Although our mail servers send out every invitation, our e-mails may be filtered by spam blockers, etc. Your best bet at getting an invitation is to send it through a referral link from your own e-mail account.

Q: Do I have to use your referral form to get credit for a referral, or can I just send someone my link?

A: You can just send your referral link. You can find your referral link in your control panel. As long as someone clicks your link, you will get credit for the referral.

Q: What counts as a referral?

A: Every member has a unique referral ID. In order to have a referral register under your account, the member you invite has to sign up through your referral link(s). Make sure to tell your friends to enter your name in the Referred By: box in the sign-up form. If your name doesn’t show up in the sign-up form, you won’t get credit for the referral.

Q: How can I get more referrals?

A: Here are a few suggestions:

1. add your referral link to all of your e-mail signatures.
2. Add your referral to your message board signatures
3. Post your referral link on the profile pages on your other social networking accounts

Don’t over-do it, though. Spamming is a violation of our terms, and could cause your account to get banned.

Q: How often is my referral tree updated?

A: Your top level view of your referral tree is updated every few hours. Each level is updated when you click on it.

Q: I referred someone, but they aren’t showing up in my tree. What happened?

A: This might occur for a few reasons:

1. your friend didn’t click your referral link when they signed up
2. your friend’s browser isn’t accepting cookies
3. they actually signed up under you, but your referral tree hasn’t updated

Q: Why can I only see the first three levels of my referral tree?

A: After the first three levels the number of referrals starts to climb drastically, and it’s a lot of processing overhead for the server to generate those reports. We figure you’re not going to personally know many people from your fourth level down anyway. You can still see the total number of referrals on levels 5-10.
